Prepare for YMCA Camp UMLY

Here are all the things you need to know about Camp UMLY at the Upper Main Line YMCA in Berwyn, Pa. 

Big News! All YMCA of Greater Brandywine summer camps have earned ACA-Accredited® Camp status from the American Camp Association!

Before Camp Starts 

• EPACT Information MUST be completed prior to the first day of camp.  
  • Emergency contact information and health forms must be completed or updated. You should have received an invitation to ePACT, our HIPPA-compliant system. 
• Check-In & Check-Out is easier this year. Learn how to access your epact QR code via Apple and Android devices.

• Need to make changes or update your registration? Complete the registration change form.
• Complete the sibling discount form if you have two or more children enrolling in the same week(s) of camp.
• Review summer camp Frequently Asked Questions and the Summer Camp Parent Handbook (English and Spanish)
• Make note of billing and summer camp contacts at the bottom of this blog post. 
• Not sure which weeks you've child(ren) is registered for? 
  • Log into your YMCA account and select the “View Family Member’s Schedule” hyperlink on the right-hand side. Select the name of the child and the Camp/Childcare schedule details to view a weekly layout. 
  • If you are on a mobile device, you'll need to expand the Family section in order to see "View Family Member's Schedule". 
• Review what to bring to summer camp and the drop-off and pick-up procedures below.  

What to Bring to Camp 

Campers should bring the items listed below in a backpack and all items should be labeled with campers’ names.   

• Lunch/snacks (no peanut, Nutella or tree nut products)   
• Sneakers and socks   
• Sunscreen   
• Bathing suit and towel (for Woodsy Pals and Explorers campers it can be helpful if they arrive in their swimsuits) 
• Change of clothes (if arriving in a swimsuit)  
• Water bottle   
• Campers should leave electronic devices, money or toys at home. 

NEW IN 2026

• All traditional campers will go off site to visit exciting field trips throughout Chester County during Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10! Entry fees for these trips are included in your cost of camp.
  
• On our odd numbered weeks, Weeks 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 we will feature in-house experiences—special shows, activities, or guests brought right to camp—to create those “WOW!” moments campers talk about all year long.
  
  • Traditional camp includes - Explorers, Pathfinders, Trailblazers, and Rangers.  
  • Our Teen Trek program will continue with the schedule of Field trips Tuesday-Friday.
  • Specialty camps, sports camps and BumbleBee camps will NOT participate in field trips.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures  

• Camp families who wish to use the camp car line for drop-off and pick-up in 2025 will now enter our campus from our main entrance on Berwyn-Paoli Road. The exit drive is no longer an entrance at any time (see map below).
  
  
• All sections of the parking lot are open to vehicle parking. Camp families may choose to park and walk their camper to the designated check-in/check-out area instead of using the camp car line.
  
  
• Please follow the directional signage posted throughout the parking lot and along the drives.
  
  
• For Morning Half-day Camp Pick-up and Afternoon Half-day Camp Drop-off, there is no car line. Please park in the main parking lot and walk to the designated check-in/check-out area. Car line is available for Morning Half-day Camp drop-off and Afternoon Half-day Camp Pick-up.

• BLUE ARROWS – these arrows are the camp car line route. Vehicles will enter the parking lot through the main entrance.
  
  
• YELLOW ARROWS- these arrows denote where camp families can enter the parking lot to park their vehicle and walk to the designated check-in/check-out area.
  
  
• RED LINE - the exits at the bottom of the parking lot will be closed to prevent exiting traffic from entering the camp car line.
  
  
• AS A REMINDER - the 15-minute parking spots located by the Mansion Early Learning Center porch entrance is for childcare family drop-off and pick-up only and not available for camp drop-off and pick-up, Monday-Friday, during the times of 7:00 - 10:00 AM and 3:00 - 6:00 PM

COOL DOWN this SUMMER with KONA ICE!

Our summer camp team is partnering with KONA ICE this summer and each week, the KONA truck will be at summer camp. We ask that you please prepay with the corresponding weekly links below for your child. During the purchase process, please select your campers' group name (Explorers, Teen Trek, etc) and add your campers' name.

You can also Pay It Forward for other campers! If you added a Pay It Forward Kona, please enter “NA” in the Camper Name line.
